The Andes Mountain Range keeps a great part of our history and culture, apart from being the great meeting point for the people of Mendoza. It invites us to travel along its winding roads discovering unique landscapes. All its stages, getting to know works made by man, such as the spectacular Potrerillos dam, as well as by Puente del Inca, a natural bridge and the iconic Aconcagua mountain.
Leaving early in the morning by the International Route 7 towards the town of Cacheutas, bordering the Mendoza River, with majestic views of the Cordón del Plata mountain range and the Potrerillos Dam. Then we will continue to Uspallata, a small village, pre-Hispanic settlement of Huarpe aborigines. Continuing towards the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas and the former ski resort of Los Penitentes.
Further on we will find Puente del Inca, a natural architectural work with hot springs. A few kilometres from there, located an altitude of over 2000 meters. Nearby, you´ll come across a viewpoint offering you stunning view of Mount Aconcagua, the colossus of America at 6959 meters.
Finally we will visit the locality of Las Cuevas (border with Chile at 3200 masl), and if the weather and the conditions of the route allow it, we will culminate the excursion with a visit to the monument of Christ the Redeemer. In the afternoon, we will stop for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.
