On Friday, October 13, 1972, an uruguayan plane, which was carrying 45 passengers to Chile, many of whom were students and players in a rugby team, crashed in the Andes Mountain range. Twelve people were killed by the impact, and those that survived had to endure, among other things, to the fearful mountains with its thirty degrees below zero during the night and the shortage of food supplies.<\/p>

Tired of the low temperatures, and slow, waiting for the rescue, two of them, they decide to cross the huge mountains to reach Chile, so that, on the 22nd of December of that same year, about 72 days after the world finds out that sixteen beat to death.<\/p>

Our tour invites you to visit this place miracle, on the other hand, is a historic and scenic very important.<\/p>

ITINERARIO:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>

  • D\u00eda 1:<\/strong> El Sosneado (San Rafael) – Refugio Soler \/ Trekking\/cabalgata de 6hs hasta el campamento base El Barroso.<\/li>
  • D\u00eda 2:<\/strong> Campamento El Barroso\/Avi\u00f3n de los uruguyos\/Campamento El Barroso. Comienza con tres horas de marcha cruzando el R\u00edo de Las L\u00e1grimas; luego ascenderemos (2hs.30min) hasta el sitio donde se encuentran los restos del avi\u00f3n, a los 3600 msnm. Rendiremos en silencio nuestro homenaje a las v\u00edctimas, para luego hacer un reconocimiento del lugar. Al finalizar, descenso al campamento.
    Tiempo aproximado de cabalgata o caminata: 8hrs<\/li>
  • D\u00eda 3:<\/strong> Desayuno y desarme del campamento. Caminaremos de regreso y en descenso al Puesto Araya. Regreso hasta El Sosneado.<\/li><\/ul>
